Sagina subulata 'Moss Green'

Sagina subulata 'Moss Green' are a low growing evergreen perennial, forming dense mats of slender stems that root from the nodes. The fine mid green leaves have white stary pin head flowers above them in summer. Unlike most alpines these plants prefer a moist well-drained soil, may turn brown in extreme heat and dry. Hardy to -15'C. Native to Ireland, known as Irish Moss, grows in peat bogs.
